We have kittens!

Well, the last of Whitney & Hustler's four little brown spotted boys (pictured below) has now gone to a new home.

However, Hope & Hustler's three babies - two boys and a girl, all brown spotted - are coming on beautifully. They will be ready for new homes from 2nd November 2009 and we will post some pictures in the next couple of days.

Frisky brothers Bengatage Demetrius & Bengatage Dante

Our kittens are reared and sold within the guidelines of the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) and The Bengal Cat Club. (See links page for further information on these organisations.)

They go to their new homes at about 13 weeks of age. Kittens leave us GCCF-registered (with a four-generation pedigree), wormed, micro-chipped and fully vet-checked - every day of their lives! There's no question that they benefit greatly not only from stay-at-home-mum Lara's care and attention but from Andy's expertise as a veterinary surgeon.

They are vaccinated against flu, enteritis, chlamydia and feline leukaemia and go to their new homes with a supply of both food and litter, a Bengatage information pack and four weeks' worth of insurance cover. This is all inclusive in the price.

All of our Bengals are healthy and happy and enjoy an inordinate amount of attention, care and love. The cattery is in a grassy meadow on our one-acre property with beautiful views, clean warm sleeping quarters and plenty of room to run around and play. Pressure activated heating pads and heated runs keep them cosy in winter and they drink fresh Scottish spring water with their Hills Science Diet & Royal Canin.

Last year, we adapted the cattery to accommodate three purpose-built kittening pens with enclosed birthing boxes plus room for mum to run about and exercise when not attending to her babies. These can be closed off from the main space when there are nursing mums. Because they are on the two extremeties of the building, which is essentially a longhouse, they are isolated enough to give the mum and her new additions room to bond and play but near enough to the our other girls so that mum doesn't feel too removed or go through too much fuss when being reintroduced into the scrum after kittens have gone to their new homes.

We also completed a very large and rustic outdoor enclosure in July of 2008. Complete with rocky terrain and wooden frames constructed of old telegraph poles and decking sections, this has proved a huge hit with our acrobatic little lot. Simple additions - like the old upturned satellite dish bolted to one of the climbing structures - have created a unique space where they can enjoy their rough play but also find a choice spot for some sunbathing in the summer months. Further plans include a shallow pond, as we know how Bengals love their water!

An advantage of being cat breeders is that it enables us to secure special offers and deals that might not otherwise be available to you. We currently have arrangements with Pet Plan insurance providers, as well as Hills Science Diet and Royal Canin, in order to be able to provide you with four weeks' insurance cover through Pet Plan (from the day you take your kitten home) and a sample pack of Hills. We will also provide you with a voucher for a free 2kg bag of Royal Canin kitten food, redeemable at Pets at Home and other vets and participating pet stores. The two together should last three to four weeks. You will also be provided with about a month's supply of Cat's Best cat litter, which is what your kitten will be trained onto by the time s/he joins your household. Accepting these samples in no way obligates you to any of the providers but you may receive marketing information in future.

These arrangements necessitate that we provide them with your details in the form of name, address, telephone number(s), contact email and information about your kitten (name, breed, colour, date of birth, etc).

Without wanting to circumvent any current legislation - namely the Data Protection Act 1998 - we ask that you allow us to provide these details so that we may secure these offers for you. Your details will be used for no other purpose and will be passed to no other parties. We ensure that all personal data will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you would prefer us NOT to pass your details on to these providers, please indicate this at the time of reserving 

your kitten.

We can provide a starter pack at

  We can also source activity centres,

  incorporating scratching posts and hammock

  or play ring, for £50.

  Pet carriers are £25 each.
