The girls
Three of our five breeding females, Whitney, Spice and Amber, were all from the same litter, born 8 November 2004 to Admewsh Tigra Tendertouch (dam) and Druimbeg Baron (sire).
Vonvarda Whitney - "Wit"
Brown spotted
Always the explorer, Wit is probably the most inquisitive of our girls. Quite the poser, too - as you can see.
She produces our largest litters and is
a tremendously attentive mother, who cares for her babies well over and above herself.
That's not to say that she doesn't breathe a sigh of relief once they start
to wean and litter train!
Vonvarda Hot Spice - "Spice"
Brown spotted
Spicy, as her name implies, keeps things interesting around the Bengatage cattery.
Never at a loss for words, she is an extrovert and chosen spokeswoman for the group.
Vonvarda Winona - "Amber"
Brown spotted
Amber is our little acrobat.
A bit more reserved than her sisters, she epitomises the strong silent type but is fiercely loyal and partial to a game of hide and seek. '
We've found more recently that she tends to come out of her shell more when she is looking after her babies.
Phoenix (pictured below) was only just a few months old when she arrived at Bengatage Bengals in August of 2006, having been born on 5 May 2006 to Druimbeg Amazon (dam) and the very beautiful and commended Admewsh Lubo Leeper (sire).
Vonvarda Phoenix - "Feenie"
Brown spotted
Growing up around the three sisters has ensured that Feenie pretty much takes things in her stride. Chilled out and lovable are two traits that come to mind. Her spots are also less densely clustered than the sisters, giving her an altogether different look.
Hope arrived with us at the beginning of July 2008 and has become an indispensable member of the lady clan. We were worried that the other girls would get annoyed at her kittenish antics but, if anything, she's really brought out the playful side in them all.
Korshki Precious Hope - "Hope"
Brown spotted
When we began our search for another breeding girl in May of 2008, we were not expecting to find such a breath-takingly beautiful and loving creature with such gorgous rosetting quite so close to home. But we were lucky enough to find Hope at Korshki Bengals near Dumfries.
Still just a baby, born 1 April 2008, we are hoping for magical kittens from her in 2009.
Vonvarda Phoenix - "Feenie"
Brown spotted
Growing up around the three sisters has given her a pretty laid-back approach to life. In terms of markings, her spots are less densely clustered than the other three and more suggestive of rosettes.
